About Us

The 58th Doncaster Scout group has been at the heart of scouting since 1943, operating from our Headquarters in Cantley, we attract members from Cantley, Bessacarr and other surrounding areas in the borough of Doncaster.

We attract young members from all age groups and regularly take part in fun activities including outdoor games, fire lighting, hiking, kayaking, shooting and lots of other fun stuff.

We like to think of our members as extended family and our leaders invest a lot of time, effort and energy in providing your children with skills and confidence to bring into young adulthood. Our members enjoy it so much, the majority of our leaders and youth team are previous scouts themselves.

We change lives by offering young people fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.

Scouts is all about fun, challenges and adventure.

The Scout Association is the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation. We change lives by offering 6 to 25 year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.

Every year Scouts helps 450,000 young people in the UK enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
