Pre-Loved Uniform

Pre-Loved Uniform Shop

With cost-of-living expenses increasing all the time we are very conscious that the cost of new uniform may become a challenge for some. We are also aware that some uniform hardly sees any use and rather than dispose of it it makes much more sense for it to be reused.

This service is only open to members of 58th Doncaster Scout Group. If your child outgrows their uniform or changes section and needs a new uniform, then this service enables you to swap your current uniform for another pre-loved item of uniform (or pay a small fee of £5).

At the first meetings of every term, we will have uniform shop at the front desk ran by members of our Fundraising team.

This will be open half an hour before the meeting starts.

All used items are priced at £5 per item.

We will also offer to exchange items for no cost – Exchanges should be like for like, e.g. sweater for sweater or trousers. Caps can be donated or requested with any other exchange but cannot be exchanged for sweater or trousers.

September Shop Dates

Squirrels & Beavers – Thursday 12th & 19th September – 4:45pm-5:15pm

Before donating or exchanging an item please note that used items should meet the following conditions:

  • Items should not contain any holes.
  • No seams coming apart.
  • No large stains or other damage.
  • The fabric should not be too thin, this happens as older items wear out.
  • The fabric should not be too faded.

  • Badges should be removed.
  • Please wash the items before dropping off (no need to iron).
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
